From Mike Wagner
You cannot buy the original, mercury batteries that drove the Nak CM300 microphone due to environmental reasons. I buy fresh batteries for my Nak CM300 microphones from a local Eveready distributer.
| Ask your local battery store for: | Eveready 206 |
| It is a round, 9 volt battery. |
...or if you can't locate a local battery source, try giving the store I buy mine from a call. They are located in Chicago and I am not sure of their shipping policy. They are very helpful though and knew what I wanted to power before I told them when I asked for this particular battery.

Battery Works also has a store in Morton Grove Illinois. Also Ruppman Marketing at 800-787-7626 sold me batteries to fit my cm300s under part number 0d03218 (Nak part number, NOT Ruppman's). Nakamichi sent me to Ruppman. I also can recommend Pro Battery 3941 Oakcliff Industrial Court Atlanta Georgia 30340 (800)-451-7171. I worked with a salesman David Smith who made some 9.45 v mercury batteries by coupling 1.35 volt mercury buttons and proper spacers that worked in the mics very well and lasted as long as the originals. They cost about $12.00 each.
Eveready E-126 and Mallory TR-126 are also substitutes for the Panasonic H-7D mercury batteries.
