Dark Star Orchestra www.darkstarorchestra.net DSO is a group effort by local area musicians that enjoy playing the music of the Grateful Dead. They are now touring more frequently and playing the Park West (in Chicago) more frequently. They pick a show from a listing of the Dead's past performances found in Deadbase and play the show in it's entirety.

The do a pretty good show, and have their own venue (Split Apple Sanctuary) where they play regularly. Generally attracts a pretty chilled out, yet diverse, crowd. You see a lot of the same faces each show. Ralph's is a good band worth checking out if you're at all interested in phish.
